Verbeia Grange Is Hiring: New Care Home Opening Soon In Ilkley
We’re getting closer to opening the doors at Verbeia Grange, our new care home in Ilkley, and one of the most important parts of that journey starts now: finding the right people to join us.
As the final stages of the renovation continue, we are now officially hiring for a range of roles across the home, including care, housekeeping, catering, activities and reception.
Leon, one of the directors at Holden Grange Care Group, says the focus is not just on experience, but on finding people who are kind, patient and genuinely care about others. With the home due to open in the coming months, now is an exciting time to become part of Verbeia Grange from the very beginning.
For anyone in Ilkley, Ben Rhydding, Addingham, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Menston or the surrounding areas looking for a rewarding role in care, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a brand-new care home as it prepares to welcome residents and families.
A NEW CARE HOME FOR THE ILKLEY COMMUNITY
Verbeia Grange is set to become a new residential care home in Ilkley, bringing high-quality care, new jobs and a renewed purpose to a much-loved local building.
For Holden Grange Care Group, the aim is not simply to open another care home. We want to create a place where residents feel safe, supported and known by the people around them.
As the home continues to take shape, we are looking forward to welcoming residents, families and staff from across Ilkley and the wider Wharfedale community.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR CARING PEOPLE IN ILKLEY
We are currently looking for caring people to join the Verbeia Grange team in a variety of roles, including:
- Senior carers
- Care assistants
- Housekeeping staff
- Catering staff
- Activities team members
- Reception staff
Whether you have years of experience in care or are completely new to the sector, what matters most to us is that you are kind, patient and genuinely care about others.
As Leon explains, “we’re not just looking for anybody.” The right attitude matters. If you care about people, have patience, and want to make a real difference every day, you could be a perfect fit for Verbeia Grange.
WHY THE RIGHT TEAM MATTERS SO MUCH
Great care starts with great people.
Leon describes staff as the backbone of every care home. Without the right people in place, we cannot support residents in the way they deserve. That is why building the right team for Verbeia Grange is one of the most important parts of opening the home.
We want to create a team who are not only skilled, but warm, supportive and genuinely caring.
Current Holden Grange staff describe the working environment as “a family”, “very supportive” and “a lovely place to be”. One staff member explained that working in care is not just a job, but about treating people like family, friends or relatives.
That is the culture we want to carry into Verbeia Grange.

HOW THE HOME IS TAKING SHAPE
Alongside the recruitment announcement, Leon also shared a quick update on the progress of the Verbeia Grange renovation.
]The roof is nearly complete, solar panels are being added, decorators are working through the finishing touches, and signage is expected soon. There has also been work around the grounds, including tree removal, wall repairs and plans for new planting to improve the outside space.
Each update brings Verbeia Grange one step closer to opening and becoming part of the Ilkley community.
